Benjamin Dictor is a labor and employment attorney with Eisner Dictor & Lamadrid, P.C. Benjamin primarily represents workers, labor unions and worker centers before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies at the federal, state and municipal level. His areas of practice include, collective bargaining, employment litigation, advising workplace organizing campaigns, employment discrimination, wage theft, whistleblower protections, drafting and enforcement of employment agreements, arbitration and mediation of labor disputes, as well as matters before the National Labor Relations Board.

During his time with the firm, Benjamin is proud to have worked on a variety of cases that are important to immigrant and low-wage worker organizing, including Flaum Appetizing Corp., the Hot & Crusty Workers Association historic campaign victory, litigation on behalf of the workers and union at Ellen's Stardust Diner, and representation of the workers of Pure Food & Wine. The firm's work on the Hot & Crusty campaign has been featured in the award-winning documentary titled The Hand that Feeds.

As counsel for a number of labor unions, Benjamin advises union leadership and staff in the context of organizing, collective bargaining, and contract enforcement. Over his career, Benjamin has assisted unions in growing their membership considerably during a period of time when the ranks of organized labor have declined in number on a nationwide level. Benjamin strongly believes that the role of labor lawyer is to democratize the law and the process of collective bargaining to make them accessible to the rank-and-file.

In addition to work for traditional labor organizations, Benjamin counsels a variety of worker centers, including the Damayan Migrant Workers Association, the Laundry Workers Center, and Justice First. He also advises independent organizing campaigns, and rank-and-file activists. Benjamin is a frequent panelist and guest speaker on the subjects concerning the role of lawyers and the tactical use of the law in organizing and collective bargaining.

Benjamin graduated with honors from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and the University of Florida. While attending law school, Benjamin worked as a clinician for the Cardozo Labor and Employment Clinic and was a staff writer on progressive labor issues for the Cardozo Jurist.

Prior to joining the firm, Benjamin was an organizer with the Industrial Workers of the World and a member of the Board of Directors of Planned Parenthood of Florida.
